Privacy

Everkept is run by BE Willers Limited in New Zealand. If you have a question about anything here, write to support@everkept.pet and a person will answer.

What we hold

If you keep a memorial, we hold:

• Your name, email address and a hashed password. We never see your password.
• What you put on the page — the animal's name, dates, the place, the story, captions, and the photographs themselves.
• Your choices about how the page looks and who can see it.

If you leave a note on someone's page, we hold the name you gave, your message, and any photograph you brought with it. You do not need an account to do that, and we do not ask you for one.

If you follow a page, we hold your email address and which page you follow, so we can tell you when something is added. Every email has a one-click link to stop.

What we don't do

• No advertising, and nothing is sold to visitors. No flowers, no candles, no tips, no upsells on a memorial page.
• No third-party analytics or tracking. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no social tracker on this site.
• We do not sell or share your data, and we do not use what you write to train anything.

Visit counts

We count how many times a page was opened each day, so the person keeping it can see that people came. That is a number per day and nothing else — no addresses, no identifiers, no record of who visited. We cannot tell you who looked at a page, and neither can we.

Cookies

One cookie, to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why this site has no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.

Where it lives, and who else touches it

• Supabase — the database, hosted in Sydney, Australia. Everything except photographs.
• Cloudflare — hosting, the storage the photographs sit in, and our email: password resets, follower notices, telling a keeper someone has brought a photograph, and anything you write to support.
• Resend — a second mail service, used only when the first cannot deliver, so a password reset does not go missing.
• Paddle — handles payment if you ever pay us. Card details go to them and never reach us.

These are processors acting on our instructions. Data is held in Australia and, depending on the service, the United States and Europe.

Taking it with you, or taking it down

From your account you can download everything you keep here — every page, caption and note — as a single file, at any time, without asking us. You can also delete a single memorial, or close your account entirely, which removes the pages you keep and their photographs from our storage.

Deletion is real, not a flag. Once a memorial is deleted we cannot recover it, so download your copy first if you want one.

Children

Everkept is not intended for children under 16 to keep an account. Anyone can read a public page or leave a note.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, by writing to support@everkept.pet. Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. If you are in the UK or the EU, you have equivalent rights and may complain to your local supervisory authority.

Changes

If we change what we hold or who touches it, this page changes first, and the date at the top changes with it.
